who is b. james
Los Angeles native, Brandon James, is one of five boys. At the age of one, Brandon was diagnosed with sickle cell anemia which troubled the years to come. When James wasn't in the hospital, he spent a most of his time at his grandmother's house. James credits his grandmother for playing a pivotal role in the start of his design career. She was a seamstress for the community - along with Brandon and his siblings.
Waking up to the sounds of the sewing machine, gracing fabric and tip-toeing over patterns, was James new normal. Although, James never really paid the sewing machine much mind, the sounds and familiarity of design revisited him later in life when his mother enrolled him into his first sewing class.
James enrolled himself in school and aggressively learned everything he could. He would soak up as much information as he could get. When James graduated from design school he worked as waiter, saved money, quit his job and pursued designed full time. His career took off as the buzz for B.James collection made noise in the city of Los Angeles
